Leadership

All students at ATA Family Martial Arts of Castle Rock are given opportunities to lead.  Leading develops confidence that stays with the students in education, careers, and life.  Our leadership programs take the students further in their leading abilities giving them a great advantage in their futures.

S.W.A.T.

Students displaying the above attributes are rewarded by becoming the Superior Winning Attitude Team (S.W.A.T.) members. They are recognized in front of their peers and are allowed to lead by example in behavior, character, and the attitude of a Black Belt.

Junior Leader Program

The mission of this program is to build future leaders of America for a better tomorrow.  Students are provided a training manual, and we hold monthly training meetings to develop our leadership abilities.  Students learn to plan, communicate, and lead by example.  They become role models

for fellow students and are allowed to assist in classes and community projects for hands on experience.  It is for children ages 8 to 12.

Instructor Trainee Program

At age 13, a student may be accepted into our Instructor Trainee Program.  This program is designed for dedicated students to become exceptional leaders as ATA Certified Songahm Taekwondo Instructors. You will learn to know people. You will learn to speak and to listen. You

will learn the skills to communicate, manage, master, and lead. The excellent teacher that you

can become through this program will command powerful skills and qualities useful throughout

your schooling, your career - and your life.

Through training to teach others "The Way," you will reach a deeper understanding of the Songahm Taekwondo philosophy. It is the Instructor's responsibility to safely guide students through all levels of martial arts training. It is also his/her duty to help students learn values, to accept and use them daily for success in their educations, careers, relationships, and communities. In this way, good teachers not only improve the lives of their students - we also change the world.
